摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve supercharging as well as absorption of the primary vibration, and also to increase the output of an engine greatly, especially in the range of high-revolution, by sucking the air-fuel mixture from an opposed-piston type balancer to a crankcase as well as from the main passage. CONSTITUTION:During the intake stroke of a crankcase 4 when a piston 16 ascends, an air-fuel mixture formed in a carburetor 35 is sucked into the crankcase 4 via a reed valve and an inlet port. At the same time, an air-fuel mixture pre-sucked into a pump chamber 31 situated between the top wall 23 of the balancer and a cover 26 flows through a reed valve 25 into the crankcase 4 due to the descending motion of a balancer 5. Secondly, during the ignition-exhaust stroke when the piston 16 descends, the balancer 5 rises, and as a result, the air- fuel mixture filling the crankcase 4 is precompressed greatly and flows through a scavenging port 22 into a combustion chamber 19.
