<p>A window stay for the support of a window glass for use in vehicles, with a window frame and a glass retainer firmly secured to the window frame with the peripheral edge portion of the window glass sandwiched fluid-tight between the window frame and the glass retainer. An elastic cushioning strip encircles the peripheral edge portion of the window glass and is held in position between the window frame and the glass retainer during assembly of the peripheral edge portion of the window glass in the sandwich. To avoid relative displacement of the glass retainer, a rim projection is integrally formed with the window frame, thereby permitting the glass retainer to resist the reactive force exerted by the compressed elastic cushioning strip.</p> |
