PURPOSE:To make scraping easily and surely by suspending the body of a scraper at the tip of a vertically movable pull-up arm through a suspending rope, providing the pull-up arm in a cantilever frame allowing free vertical movement and moving vertically by the pull-up cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The billet scraper holds a billet 1 carried in the longitudinal direction by carrying rollers 2, 3 and provided with the scraper body 4 that cuts the billet by a cutter unit while following the steel billet 1. Said scraper is provided with a cantilever frame 29, a pull-up arm 32 supported at the upper end of the cantilever frame allowing free vertical movement, a pull-up cylinder 33 to move the pull-up arm 32 vertically and a suspending chain 38 that suspends the scraper body 4 at the tip of the pull-up arm 32. |
