<p>A parachute which comprises a cloth, principal suspension ropes 14 and an auxiliary suspension system 23, 20 and 30. The principal suspension system extends between the perimeter of the cloth and the load 15 and the auxiliary suspension system extends between the load 15 and the separate positions D and A of the perimeter of the cloth. The auxiliary suspension system 23, 20, 30 is responsible for the load during the initial stages of unfolding, leaving the principal suspension ropes untensioned, in order to allow the cloth to open out without hindrance. A secondary characteristic of the invention provides a separate valve element 4 around the upper opening 12 of the cloth 11. Both characteristics result in a reduction of the time needed for the cloth to open out.</p> |
