PURPOSE:To separate easily a device to be separable by constituting so that a signal transfer between a body of a copying machine provided with the device installed so as to be separable, to the copying body, and said device is executed through an optical coupling means or a magnetic means provided opposingly between the copying machine body and the device. CONSTITUTION:A signal transmission is executed by a means having no contact, between a copying machine body and a device installed so as to be separable. That is to say, the copying machine body 1 and a sorter 2 having a lot of shelves for arranging in order a page of a copied transfer material, and a means for carrying the transfer material to each shelf, etc. are provided to be freely separable by an attaching and detaching means. A transfer of a signal between the sorter 2 side and the copying machine body 1 side is executed by using an optical coupling means coupled by a light emitting means 21 of the sorter 2 side and a photodetecting means 11 of the copying machine 1 side, when the sorter 2 is installed. In this way, when the sorter 2 side is operated normally, the light emitting means 21 is driven, and light is emitted. As a result, the light from the light emitting means 21 is irradiated to the photodetecting means 11 of the copying machine body 1 sie, therefore, the copying machine body 1 decides that the sorter 2 is normal, and feeds out the copied transfer material to the sorter 2 side. |
