PURPOSE:To prevent miscounting and eliminate trouble in automatic loading, rewinding after an overrun, etc., by allowing friction guide members which stabilize the stop of a film to operate only when the film is braked and reduced in speed. CONSTITUTION:While the roll film is fed at a high speed, marks provided to respective film frames are counted to retrieve a desired frame, and once the desired frame is detected, the film is stopped by being braked. For the purpose, friction guide members 39 and 39a, and 40 and 40a which abut on both side edges of the film F are provided opposite on the right and left sides of a mark detector 17. Then, the interval of facing members is normally widen by tension springs 44 and 45 to hold the friction guide members at off-operation positions, and solenoids 46 and 47 are powered on while driving brakes 12 and 13 are in operation to allow the friction guide members to operate on the side edges of the film, thus stopping the film at a stable position without any influence of oscillation. |
