PURPOSE:To minimize fuel supply and keep good cell performance by controlling electrode thickness of a fuel electrode. CONSTITUTION:In a liquid fuel cell, electrode thickness of a fuel electrode is controlled to 0.5mm. or less. When a mixture of methanol and dilute sulfuric acid is supplied to this fuel electrode, carbon dioxide is generated. By decreasing electrode thickness, the amount of fuel supplied can be decreased and carbon dioxide generated can be effectively exhausted. By this electrode construction, good cell performance is obtained, and cell weight can be decreased since auxiliary equipment is reduced. |
