The system uses a multiplexing system to receive analog signals from devices such as temp. or humidity sensors, potentiometers etc. and passing them to an A/D converter. The digital output signals are passed to a microcomputer. A second multiplexing system receives binary signals which indicate e.g. the open or closed state of contacts and connects them also to the microcomputer. - The microcomputer performs algorithmic control functions based on the received signals, using digital address output signals carried by a two wire bus. This is carried out so that digital return signals are also received. A third multiplexing system is used for a further group of potentiometers. The computing system produces both command and interrogating output signals.
