PURPOSE:To reduce the equivalent serial resistance of a piezoelectric oscillator which uses LiNbO3 and a 165+ or -5 deg. rotating Y plate by specifying the relation between the plate thickness of a pieozlectric plate and print thickness of a terminal electrode. CONSTITUTION:The strip type piezoelectric oscillator consists of an oscillating element 1 and a substrate 2 mounting it. The oscillator 1 consists of the piezoelectric blank plate 11 using LiNbO3 and 165+ or -5 deg. rotating Y plate, and the electrode formed by connecting an electrode 12 and a terminal electrode 14, and an electrode 13 and a terminal electrode 15 together electrically. On the other hand, a thin-film electrode is provided as a lead-out terminal 22 on the reverse surface of a base 21 and another lead-out terminal 23 is also provided on the top surface similarly; and those are connected together electrically by through-hole plating 24. The electrodes 14 and 15 are also connected together with conductive paste. The ratio t/H of the plate thickness H of the piezoelectric blank plate and the print thickness (t) of the conductive paste forming the terminal electrodes is set less than 0.25 to reduce the equivalent serial resistance. |
