The construction set contains a pillar (1) and essentially horizontally arranged retaining elements (2). A row of holding lugs are arranged on the pillar (1) on either side. The retaining element (2) is designed as an obtuse-angled angle piece and encloses half of the front side of the pillar. Attached to the rear longitudinal side of each retaining element is an angled fastening piece which bears against the holding lug in the suspended state. The angled arrangement of the retaining element ensures on the one hand that as large an amount of intermediate space as possible is obtained for the planting and that on the other hand the cross-section is statically as effective as possible and in addition that the sound reflected upwards is reduced as far as possible. With this construction set, not only is it possible to construct retaining walls in a conventional manner from bottom to top but it is thus also possible to construct retaining walls from top to bottom. Here, first of all boreholes are made at suitable intervals, the pillars (1) are concreted in place therein and then the earth is removed starting from the top. Then the retaining elements (2) are put in successively from top to bottom, the stability of the cut being maintained at any particular time. In this type of use of the construction set, it is possible to construct retaining walls from cast-in-place piles without sheet piling or auxiliary walls. <IMAGE> |
