PURPOSE:To perform accurate retrieval by decoding the size of image data sent to a retrieving device, and performing expansion, changing of an output position address, and longitudinal/lateral conversion according to the size. CONSTITUTION:An image pattern read by a reader 1 is stored in a file 22 of a registering device 2. A retrieving device 3 accesses desired image data in the file 22 through line control parts 20 and 30 by operating a keyboard which is not shown in figure. A data decoding control part 34 decodes the image data, and the address of an image expanded by an expansion part 31 is controlled 35 and inputted to the buffer memory 32a of a printer control part 32, thereby printing out 33 the image. An address control part 35 converts the address of the image by operating keys over a look at an unshown monitor, thereby increasing the image in size or performing the longitudinal/lateral conversion of the image. Consequently, various image outputs are matched with the ability of the retrieving device to perform accurate retrieval. |
