PURPOSE:To manufacture a fire retardant diaphragm easily by forming the diaphragm by mixing natural fiber and inorganic fiber together and impregnating it with thermosetting resin, an organic bromine compound, and a release agent, and then carrying out a pressure heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:The natural fiber such as wood pulp which is beaten properly is mixed with 20-50wt% the inorganic fiber such as carbon fiber and glass fiber, and the mixture is manufactured to sheets and formed into the diaphragm with a specific shape; and the diaphragm is impregnated with the thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin containing the release agent previously and an organic bromine compound, and a preliminary drying treatment is performed, for example, at 100 deg.C for five minutes. Then, the diaphragm is heat molded under the condition, for example, of 200 deg.C, 8kg/cm<2> pressure, and 30sec. Epoxy resin, phenol resin, melamine resin, etc., are used for the thermoset resin and silicone oil is for the release agent. Theus, the high-rigidity, fire retardant diaphragm is easily manufactured. |
