PURPOSE:To obtain a seamless and smooth-surface molded cylinder with a uniform thickness and high dimensional stability by molding thermoplastic resin sheets in vacuum and under pressure with a male force and a female force. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 1 is fixed by clamps 2 in Zone A. Next, a heater 3 preheated in Zone B shifts to Zone A to heat the sheet 1. The clamps 2 moves to a molding zone of Zone C as the clamps 2 hold the sheet 1. Then air cylinders 6 and 7 are actuated, resulting in the descending of a knock plate 4 and the ascending of a precrank plate 5. Thus the sheet 1 is fixed individually around a female force 11 and a male force 9. An upper table 10 comes down by hydraulic action, causing the female force 11 to contact the sheet 1. At the same time, a lower table 8 ascends and the male force 9 pushes up the sheet 1. With the vacuum suction of the female force 11 and the pressure injection of the male force 9, the sheet 1 is molded into the shape of the female force 11. |
