PURPOSE:To improve a noise problem in the phase retrieval with a gutter by applying a negative pressure of a hollow ink mist absorption plate made up of a porous metal provided between a polarization electrode and a recording paper. CONSTITUTION:An ink mist absorption plate 4, for example, made of a porous sintered metal, is made hollow 4a in the middle thereof and the upper opening thereof is connected to a vacuum pump 9 through a tube. An ink mist generated in the perimeter of the ink mist absorption plate 4 is drawn with a negative pressure in the ink mist absorption plate 4 and absorbed by the hollow section of the absorption plate to be recovered effectively. Especially, in the multinozzle, ink mist is generated several or scores of times as much as the single noise and in this method, such a large amount of ink mist can be sucked and recovered quickly and effectively. |
