PURPOSE:To obtain a plastic lens having high surface hardness and superior scratch resistance and being treated to have reflection preventing effect by providing a thin coated film for preventing reflection on the surface of a substrate lens through a cured film consisting of a specified coating compsn. CONSTITUTION:A coating compsn. is used which consists of (A) colloidal silica having 1-100mu particle size and (B) hydrolyzate of Si compd. expressed by the formula ( I ) (e.g. gamma-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane) [wherein R<1> is an org. group including epoxy group, (e.g. group expressed by the formulas II and III); R<2> is 1-4C hydrocarbon group, alkoxyalkyl group, or 1-4C acyl group, and/or partial condensation product thereof]. Namely, cured film A1 consisting of above-described coating compsn. is coated on the surface of a substrate lens (a) made of diethylene glycol bisallyl carbonate, etc., forming further reflection preventing coated thin film B1 consisting of an inorg. material. (layers 11, 13 are of ZrO2, 12 is of Al2O3, and 14 is of SiO2). |
