PURPOSE:To execute high-precision positioning molding and to reduce the junction loss at the time of connection using a connector by injecting a resin into a mold to form a connector and positioning each fiber separately with a separately positioning group of grooves and the group of holes. CONSTITUTION:Each optical fiber 4 is separately positioned by burying a terminal alignment member 14 having the group 22 of grooves for separately positioning each fiber into a positioning molded body 15. An optical fiber core 1, each fiber 4, the terminal member 14, and pins 13 are set into a mold 37 provided with injection holes 39 for molding the body 15 and the group 40 of holes for separately positioning each fiber, and a resin is injected to mold the body 15, and it is released from the mold 37 after hardening. As a result, each fiber 4 is positioned with high precision on one side with the groove group 22, and on the other side with the hole group 40 and molded to execute high precision connection by the connector junction, thus permitting reduction of junction loss. |
