This framing (1) is intended for the fitting of double glazing (2) to woodwork (6) of an existing window. Each side of the framing is formed by two separate profiles (8, 9), which do not touch each other and are joined together by a curable resin (10) of low thermal conductivity. The first profile (8) comprises two flanges (11, 12) at right angles which are fitted against the rebate (7), and one flange (13) which is fixed to the internal edge of the woodwork (6). The second profile (9) comprises two flanges (15, 16) which are connected in a "T" shape and a third flange (17) oriented obliquely. Ribs (18, 19, 20) project from these flanges and form a good bond with the resin (10). <IMAGE>
