PURPOSE:To prevent any trouble due to trims from occurring, by installing some indentations at specified intervals in a longitudinal direction simultaneously with trimming the end part of strip width and directing toward the outside from the side of a lower round blade, in case of strip trimming after rolling. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with trimming a strip width end part on a trimmer by each of lower round blades 1 and 2, some indentations (b) are formed at specified intervals in a strip longitudinal direction by chopper blades 4. In this case, these indentations are made so as to be formed widthwise toward the outside of a strip S from the side of the lower round blade 2. With this constitution, any trouble due to trims is preventable from occurring. |
