Aeration apparatus

An aeration apparatus includes a motor-driven agitator vane which is arranged within an aeration tank and beneath which is situated a circular cross-section draught tube, which can be angled to the water surface or can adopt a perpendicular position thereto. The reduced pressure and suction generated in the draught tube suck air or gaseous material preferably through the hollow drive shaft of the stirrer vane and disperse it in the fluid. At the same time, a more intensive and more uniform stirring process is performed within the aeration tank.
