<p>The invention relates to a plant for the biological treatment of waste water having an anaerobic reactor 1 operated under anaerobic conditions to which a waste water feedline 3 is connected in the bottom region and which is provided with an overflow 7 in the top region for treated waste water and a gas discharge line 5 for sewage gas. In order to have as large as possible a fraction of biomass constantly available in the reaction chamber of the anaerobic reactor 1 for the biological degradation processes, it is provided that the anaerobic reactor 1 is designed in a funnel shape by wall surfaces 2 running together downwardly at an incline, as a result of which the turbulence effected by the evolution of the sewage gas formed during the anaerobic degradation processes are greatly weakened by the retardation of the established liquid flow and bubble flow caused by the design. In addition, a gas trapping hood 4 is provided in the top region of the anaerobic reactor 1, which hood is provided at its bottom end with guiding devices 6 extending radially outwards to just before the wall surfaces 2 of the anaerobic reactor. These guiding devices 6 have the effect that, in the solid separation zone formed above the guiding devices 6, only a small amount of outgassing proceeds which only insignificantly influences the settling processes in the solid separation zone and the return of the biomass to the reaction chamber. <IMAGE></p> |
