<p>In known accumulation or weir box irrigation methods, the make-up water is distributed through conduits and evacuated by distribution members. According to the development introduced by the present invention, only hydraulic energy is used for the distribution of water and for conveying said water up to the plantations to be watered: a pressure lower than 1/3 bar is sufficient for the distribution and conduction of water. Known units have a water source, lines connected to said source and water regulation heads provided inside said lines. According to the present invention, supply tanks (3) each comprising at least one branch pipe (4) are added to the lines (2), at least one water regulation head (5) being mounted in the branch pipes (4). The geodetical of the discharge edge (11) of each water regulating head (5) connected to the same supply tank (3) is determined as a function of the hydraulic losses occurring in the branch pipe (4), the water level (8, 19) in the chamber of the supply tank (3) connected to at least one branch pipe (4) being geodetically higher than the highest geodetical point (12) of the branch pipe (4).</p> |
