Ventilation device for an internal combustion engine

A ventilation device is proposed for an internal combustion engine with air cooling and at the same time also for the cooling of a generator (6), which is connected to the engine. The device has a fan wheel (20), which is freely rotatable coaxially with the generator (6) and is mounted on its shaft (12). The fan wheel (20) can thereby be driven from the engine and by means of V-belts (4, 5) at a speed (V2), which is lower than the speed of rotation (V1) of the shaft (12) of the generator (6). For cooling of the generator an inner fan wheel (24) is provided, which is seated on the shaft (12) and interacts with the inner blades (27) of the fan wheel (20).
