PURPOSE:To prevent a drop in both machining accuracy and speed due to the generation of hear from occurring, by detecting temperature in a work body or a machining fluid, while constituting a device so as to control an output pulse out of a machining power source through the detected signal. CONSTITUTION:Temperature in a work body 2 rises along with the progress of electro-discharge machining. The temperature is detected by a sensor 10, fed to a discrimination circuit 11, then the detected signal is discriminated in comparison with the preset, staged discrimination reference value and a staged output signal is outputted to a pulse generating circuit 9. This pulse generating circuit 9 selects the value to those of on-pulse width tauon, off-pulse width tauoff and a discharge current peak value IP on the basis of this inputted discrimination signal. Therefore, it is altered to a machining condition corresponding to the work body temperature. Thus, a drop in machining accuracy and speed due to heating is preventable. |
