PURPOSE:To improve the heat transfer characteristic of a heat exchanger and consequently enhance the capacity as an air conditioner by a method wherein the inclination angle of at least some blades out of a plurality of blades is made adjustable in order to make the speed distribution of the air drawn out of the heat exchanger as uniform as possible. CONSTITUTION:A casing equipped with a suction port 12 and a blow-off port 13, a finned tube type heat exchanger 14 mounted facing to the suction port 12 and a fan 15, which locates within the casing 11 and sends air through the heat exchanger 14 from the suction port 12 to the blow-off port 13, are provided. A louver mechanism 18 consists in arranging a plurality of blades B at predetermined intervals between the heat exchanger 14 and the fan 15 and yet the inclination angle of at least some blades out of a plurality of blades B is made adjustable. The blades B are controlled in response to the output signal of air speed sensors 19 so as to uniformize the speed of blown-off air at the blow-off side of the heat exchanger. Consequently, the improvement of local heat transfer rate at the peripheral part of the heat exchanger is contrived. |
