WC seat (1) and protection which may be fixed to the latter and made of paper or other similar disposable material after use in order to improve hygienic conditions. The present invention provides for securing the protection to the WC seat (1) to provide the protection on its rear transverse band (15) with two horizontally arranged holes (22) at a certain distance from each other and to provide the WC seat (1) on its rear transverse portion with two pins (16) arranged correspondingly in projecting perpendicularly upwardly which traverse the holes when they are in a position of utilization and which thereby prevent the protection from sliding and being undesirably removed. The pins (16) are made of wood, plastic or metal and are inserted into the holes provided to this effect in the rear transverse part by means of screw mountings or, when the WC seat is made of plastic, are integral with the latter. The protections may be made of solid, deformation-resistant paper, cardboard, homogeneous plastic or foam, and are optionally lined with moisture-proof paper. The present invention is particularly intended to hotels where the protections are kept so as to be ready for use and are renewed when changing the sheets in the rooms.
