Building components bound with inorganic hydraulic binders such as cement or gypsum and provided with organic reinforcements such as fibres are to be designed in such a way that they show an expansion and shrinkage behaviour which can be satisfactorily calculated. For this purpose, it is provided according to the invention that the building components or building panels bound with inorganic hydraulic binders are provided with at least one layer of at least the same thickness, which consists of organically or inorganically bound silicate.
