PURPOSE:To enable removal of media with a magnet after treatment of works by barrel polishing or the like and thereby to improve work efficiency, by using magnetic media having a magnetic property for the media to be charged in the barrel together with the works. CONSTITUTION:As the media, one which uses magnetic material as the core and ordinary media material as the coating spread over the core, one in which ordinary media material is mixed with magnetic powder, one in which the media material has a magnetic property by nature, one which uses nonmagnetic material as the core and media material having a magnetic property by nature as the coating spread over the core, and so forth can be used. Such media are charged in a barrel together with works and polishing or the like is carried out therein. Thereafter, the media can be removed attracted by a magnet which is put in or approached to the mixture of the works and the media, whereby the works can be separated. Thus, the separation by manual work can be eliminated and the work can be performed effectively. |
