A method for reproducing musical sounds by cyclically reading-out digitally stored original sounds is described, different sound sections from the steady-state part of the stored sound being serially connected to one another in the correct phase in the steady-state part of the sound to be reproduced as a result of which sounds unlimited in time can be created from a sound memory limited in time.
