In a device for removing ink from a ductor roller (8) in the region of the ink profile edges (42), having at least one doctor blade (11) which can be placed against a rotating outer surface, is arranged above an ink collecting device, is clamped in a doctor blade holder (12), is shorter in relation to the associated ductor roller (8) and is laterally adjustable along a cross-beam (14) extending over the entire width of the machine, excellent ease of operation and functional reliability can be achieved in that the doctor blade (11) can be placed directly against the associated ductor roller which is constructed as a riding roller (8) with a hard, ink-receptive outer surface, and in that the doctor blade holder (12) can be fixed so as to be releasable when it strikes against a slide (13) which is retained on the cross-beam (14) so as to be secure against rotation and laterally displaceable, said cross-beam being mounted swivellably and being swivellable relative to a stop by means of a swivel cylinder which is incorporated in the hydraulic or pneumatic system on the printing machine side. <IMAGE>
