PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal variation of a can by disposing a pressure regulating member made of an elastic material in a case connected with a frame in the can, thereby suppressing the pressure difference between the interior and the exterior of the can. CONSTITUTION:A case 25 is composed of a mounting unit 27, and a cylinder 29 disposed axially between a frame 1 connected with the unit 27 and a can 3 and having a hole 28 at a stator 2 side. A cylindrical elastic material 31 is provided in the cylinder 29. When insulating oil B around the stator 2 largely expands due to temperature rise, the expansion of the volume is released through the hole 28 of the case 25 into the case 25. Since the interior of the room 32 of the material 31 is connected through the holes 21, 24, 26, the chamber 23 and a connecting slot 11 with the periphery of a rotor 12. Accordingly, the material 31 is compressed until the pressure around the stator 2 becomes substantially equal to that around the rotor 12. |
