<p>The appts. comprises two separate assemblies of grounded, conductive sheet, piezoelectric polymer film, pref. polyvinylindene fluoride, and an electrode layer having at least one electrode, sandwiched together with an insulating layer between the electrode layers. A support substrate is pref. provided for each film, having opening corresponding the electrodes. A sensing circuit is pref. coupled to one electrode and conductive plane to amplify the signal.
