PURPOSE:To improve convergence by closely attaching magnetic substances to the neck of a color cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic substances 24 are attached to the surface of a neck portion 23 between a deflection yoke 21 and a convergence purity magnet assembly 22. The magnetic substances 24 act as if they are field controllers, and can control the strength of magnetic leakage in the deflection yoke which acts on electron beams, in conjunction with the field controllers attached to a electron gun. A raster dimension of side beams and a raster dimension of center beams can be finely adjusted at any position on the screen from the outside of the color cathode ray tube by varying the size, the shape, the attaching position and the quantity of the field controller 24. |
