PURPOSE:To heat an insulating liquid by a heater and simplify a structure and make cooling of a transformer effective by a method wherein a liquid reservoir, in which an insulating liquid, which evaporates is stored, is provided to a bottom of a container wherein a core and a winding are contained and heat pipes are provided to an upper part of the container penetrating through a machine wall. CONSTITUTION:A core 1 and a winding 2 wound around the core 1 of an evaporation cooling type transformer are contained in a container 3. A liquid reservoir 7, in which evaporative insulating liquid 8 is stored, is provided to a bottom of the container 3 and the liquid 8 is heated by a heater 9. Heat pipes 4 are provided to an upper part of the container 3 penetrating through a machine wall and fins 5 and liquid sinks 7 cooled by fans 6 are provided to the pipes 4. With this constitution, the structure of the evaporation cooling type transformer is simplified and the core 1 and the winding 2 of the transformer are cooled efficiently. |
