PURPOSE:To reduce the numbers of commutation auxiliary circuits and circuit elements by specifying a main circuit control rectifier for firing initially in case of starting. CONSTITUTION:When the firing sequence of a main circuit thyristor is in the order of thyristors Th1-Th6-Th2-Th3-Th5-Th1, commutation condensers necessary for initial charging are condensers C1, C3, at the positive arm side of a main circuit, and condensers C5, C6 at the negative arm side. Accordingly, in case of starting an inverter device, the thyristor Th1 is conducted at the positive arm side and the thyristor Th6 is conducted at the negative arm side for the prescribed time to initially charge the condensers C1, C3 and C5, C6. The stored charges of the condensers C1, C3 and C5, C6 remain charged until the thyristors Th2, Th4 are fired. |
