<p>PURPOSE:To identify a transmission-side device easily and accurately by setting an identifier for some device on a direct communication line which connects each data generator to a data gathering device in a connector characteristic to the device. CONSTITUTION:When the connector 1 with an identifier is connected to an interface circuit part 4, electric power is supplied and information showing the identifier to a connector pin P1-Pn is displayed on the line in the form of a voltage level. The output of an identifier setting part 2 is supplied to the latch circuit 5 of the interface circuit 4 so as to hold an identifier code shown by the level of the voltage at the pin. Further, data contents DT from a generation source are sent from the data transmission part 3 of the connector 1 to the data reception part 6 of the circuit part 4 and supplied to the gate of a control part 7 at timing under microcomputer control together with the code ID, so that the data DT added with the identifier ID is sent to an upper computer.</p> |
