PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent reception characteristic by applying a processing easily realized from the physical and circuitry standpoint such as linear operation or square operation to an input and a synchronizing signal wave. CONSTITUTION:A reception signal wave Xn and synchronizing signal waves S1n.S2n sampled respectively in a speed N-times the data transmission speed are fed respectively to adder circuits 1 and 2. The adder circuit 1 operates (Xn-S2n) and the adder circuit 2 operates (Xn-S1n). An output of the adder circuits 1 and 2 is squared respectively at square circuits 3 and 4 and (Xn-S2n)<2> and (Xn-S1n)<2> are outputted respectively from the square circuits 3, 4. Xn.S1n.S2n is inputted, to which the linear operation and the square operation are applied, and when an output (y) of the result is smaller than 0, a hypothesis H1 (S1 is transmitted) is selected and when the (y) is >=''0'', a hypothesis H2 (S2 is transmitted) is selected. |
