PURPOSE:To assure safety of a press operation with simple constitution by connecting oscillatably a protective plate for hand sweeping to a supporting member by means of parallel sweep bars having an equal length and covering widely the front of a ram during its descending. CONSTITUTION:A mounting plate 8 is freely turnably mounted to a stanchion 4 erected to a working table 3 and is fixed by means of screws 11. A protective plate 18 connected thereto via parallel sweep bars 14, 15 having an equal length is made freely turnably attachable to the stud bolt 3a of a ram 3. The end 26 of the bar 14 is connected via a connecting plate 24 to the end 25 of a turning plate 22 fitted 23 pivotally to the plate 8. The other end 32 of the plate 22 is connected 33 via a pull-down rod 28 to the ram 3. When the ram 3 descends upon operation of a press machine, the plate 22 is turned counterclockwise by the descending rod 28 and the bar 14 is turned clockwise by the plate 24, by which the operator's hand and fingers on the table 3 are swept away. The opertor's safety is thus assured by the simple construction. |
