Date Feb. 14, 1985.A ceramic structure whose portion exposed to a heat cycle, as a high-temperature gas turbine blade, a turbo charger or the like, is coated with ceramics having a construction wherein a sinter mainly comprising a boride, nitride or carbide of the element of Group IIIa, IVa, Va or VIa of the Periodic Table and retaining a high strength at a temperature of up to 1,100 DEG C. is dispersed in sintered ceramics comprising at least one of silicon carbide, silicon nitride and sialon as its principal component. A ceramic structure having a thermal shock resistance, high versatility and reliability can be obtained. |
