PURPOSE:To prevent the overrun of a command or data by storing the CCW fetched information to a retry information area provided to a control table provided to a main memory in response to a channel. CONSTITUTION:A channel controller 13 starts to transfer the data designated by channel command words including a command code, control flag, the number of transfer bytes and the main memory address information. In this case, the information included in the channel command words and the information obtained by converting the first information are stored to a retry information area secured within a control table corresponding to plural channels 14 of a main memory 10. When the controller 13 receives a command repeat or retry request from an input/output device 16, the transfer of data is restarted by the information stored in the retry information area. |
