A PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE The valve comprises a body in the shape of a cup whose edge portion is secured around an aperture in a wall of an enclosure. An annular T-shaped partition wall divides the interior of the body into two chambers which communicate respectively with the interior of the enclosure and with the outside atmosphere. Ports extend respectively through the vertical leg and the branches of the T. An elastically yieldable sleeve whose axial section is in the shape of a lily is a grip fit on the vertical leg of the T and is applied by its annular flange against the inner surface of the body. This arrangement both allows the gases within the enclosure to escape by way of the port in the vertical leg of the T in the event of over-pressure and allows air to enter the enclosure by way of the ports in the branches of the T in the event of a depression in the enclosure. This valve may be easily added to various types of automobile fuel tank filler caps.
