SINKING DEVICE FOR CORRUGATED PIPE

PURPOSE:To crush the crests of a corrugated pipe flat with rollers and to perform sinking treatment by providing plural sinking heads freely rotatably around the axial line of said pipe between the inlet of the traveling currugated pipe and an inlet guide and attaching the rollers to said heads in such a way that the rollers can move freely forward and backward with respect to the corrugated pipe and that the angle thereof can be freely adjusted. CONSTITUTION:The height of a sinking roller 18 is determined by a handle 15 for adjusting sinking height and is fixed to said position by means of a lock nut 17. A handle 14 for adjusting angle is then rotated to adjust the angle between the roller shaft 132 of the roller 18 and the advancing direction of a corrugated pipe 1 to a prescribed angle. The roller is fixed in said position by means of a set-screw 16. A scroll chuck 5 is rotated to feed the pipe 1 at the speed at which said pipe advances roughly by one pitch in one rotation of the chuck 5 then the roll 18 crushes the crests of the corrugations along the crests of the pipe 1.
