PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive cordless telephone set by using radio communication only for the service part of a transmitter and a receiver and providing a telephone set body with a terminating means and a dial means for network control. CONSTITUTION:A telephone set body 1 includes hook switches FS1 and FS2, a dial part 12 which generates a network control selecting signal when the other- party telephone number is dialed, a telephone set circuit 13 for intermediation of call, a radio transmitter and receiver 14, and an antenna 15. The transmitter and receiver 14 consists of a transmitter 142, which modulates the sound signal from the circuit 13 and transmits it to a transmitter and receiver 2 through the antenna 15, and a receiver 141 which demodulates a signal inputted through the antenna 15 and reproduces the sound signal. The transmitter and receiver 2 consists of a transmitter 23, a receiver 24, a radio transmitter and receiver 22, and an antenna 21. The transmitter and receiver 2 communicates with the radio transmitter and receiver 14 with radio waves only in case of communication, and the telephone set body 1 performs originating and terminating operations similar to a normal telephone set. |
