<p>Prepn. of objects esp. sheets or tubes, from poly-methacrylic acrd methylester (MME), with a layer of highly selective material worked in, e.e. a thin layer of heavy metal xode, and used for sun energy collectors. PRepn. is by polymerisation of MME, formation of the layer of highly selective layer and casting in the desired shape. An oxide contg. MME prepolymer syrup (1) is prep. by dispersion of is not 1 of the heavy metal oxides of Co, Ni and Fe (or opt. a mixt.) with a constant stirring, in a catalysed MME monomer; separately a transparent MME prepolymer casting syrup (2) with a viscosity of 50-75 cp at 25 degrees C is produced; both syrups are mixed, the mixt. degassed and then cast. Polymerisation with heat starts at is not >1 hr. after the casting, to ensure a homogeneous deposit of oxide layer. Procedure results in an oxide layer beng symmetrically formed over only one surface of the poly-MME resin materials e.g. sheets or tubes, the remaining thickness being transparent. They are optically antiradiation materials and have a low heat conductivity and a high absorption capacity for sun energy. They are used esp. for sun energy collectors.</p> |
