PURPOSE:To eliminate miswinding by winding the cut end of a length of film onto an empty bobbin in such a way that it hangs down in the direction of gravity from said empty bobbin. CONSTITUTION:The method comprises a winding stroke in which a rider roll 28 is pressed against a mill roll 27 to restrain air entering the mill roll 27, and a belt-shaped object 26 is guided, with an approach roll 30 being kept at certain intervals from the mill roll 30; a stroke in which turret 21 is rotated at 180 deg.+alpha after the rider roll 28 and the mill roll 30 are retracted backward; and a stroke in which the approach roll 30 is forwardly rotated under an empty bobbin to increase the winding angle for the belt-shaped object 26 onto the empty bobbin and, then, the rider roll 28 is forwardly rotated to hold the belt-shaped object between the empty bobbin and the roll 28. Thereby, miswinding can be eliminated improving the yield of the product. |
