PURPOSE:To prevent knocking, by determining the quantity of delay of the ignition time of an engine at its speed-up, depending on the operating condition and acceleration of the engine immediately before the start of the speed-up. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration detector 22 finds out the acceleration of an engine. An operating condition detector 23 finds out the operating condition of the engine. A delayed quantity determiner 19 calculates the delayed quantity of the ignition time of the engine depending on its acceleration and operating condition. When the speed-up of the engine is found out by the acceleration detector 21, the ignition time is delayed by the calculated quantity by an ignition time delayer 20 to prevent knocking. |
