PURPOSE:To quicken tripping when a pump shaft is broken by providing a switch, which detects axial movement of a clutch with a saw blade and a clutch and puts a trip in operation, on a driving shaft of a speed governor connected to a shaft of a main oil pump directly connected to a turbine rotor. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 3 of a main pump 2 is directly connected to a turbine rotor 1, while a driving shaft 5 of a speed governor 4 is connected to the shaft 3 through a clutch device 22 composed of a driving side clutch 22A and a driven side clutch 22B engaged with each other through a saw blade 23. Normally, the driven side clutch 22B is pressed against the driving side clutch 22A side by means of a compression spring 34. In case the pump shaft 3 is broken in an emergency speed governor part 6, the pump 2 is promptly put in low-speed rotation due to braking operation of the pressured oil, while the driven side clutch 22B, maintaining high-speed rotation due to inertia, is released from engagement and moves axially, and puts a limit switch 24 in operation to have a turbine trip. |
