PURPOSE:To make a cogged belt pulley in lightweight structure and prevent vibration and noise generation owing to cross swing of the belt by furnishing a resilient member at the inside surface of the rim of pulley provided with cogs on its periphery. CONSTITUTION:Pulley 7 is composed of a boss 4 and a rim 1, the latter being equipped with involute teeth 3 on its periphery at a constant spacing, wherein the boss and rim are coupled together by an arm part 5. In this case, the inside surface 11 of this rim 1 is lined with a resilient member 10 made of rubber. Thereby, if meshing of the belt 8 with pulley 7 gives it an impact, the rim 1 or arm part 5 is going to deform in minor scale to lead to small deformation even in the resilient member 10 alike, but a great internal damping characteristic of this resilient member 10 will suppress said tendency of deformation. Accordingly vibration to be caused by impact at the time of meshing can be reduced. |
