PURPOSE:To enhance the indicial response of an engine upon rapid acceleration, by calculating a basic fuel injection amount upon detection of rapid acceleration with the use of an output control means in accordance with the output of the engine. CONSTITUTION:An electronic control unit 20 detects the intake-air amount or intake-air pipe vacuum and rotational speed of the internal combustion engine 1, and calculates a basic fuel injection amount for controlling the fuel injection of the internal-combustion engine 1, and therefore, fuel injection is made by a fuel injection valve 11 in accordance with the thus calculated basic fuel injection amount. When the variation rate of an output control means for changing the output of the internal-combustion engine is greater than a predetermined value, the basic fuel injection amount is calculated in accordance with the variation amount of the output control means and the rotational speed of the engine. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the indicial response of the engine upon rapid acceleration. |
