PURPOSE:To prevent evil influence which may be exerted on a photosensitive body and the malfunction of a device by providing a means which inhibits the start of copying operation even when a platen cover is closed to a copying machine which starts copying operation when the platen cover is closed. CONSTITUTION:A contact 9a is made unless an inhibition key 9 is set. When the platen cover 4 is closed, a switch 6 is operated by an actuator 5 to make a contact 6a. Then, Vcc is applied to an inverter 11 through the contacts 6a and 9a, so a 0 signal commanding copying operation is inputted to a control part 10. The control part 10 operates a driving circuit 14 and a copy operation means 13 starts the copying operation. When the inhibition key 9 is set, on the other hand, the contact 9a is broken, so the 0 signal is not inputted to the control part 10 even when the platen cover 4 is closed, so the copying operation is not started. The cover 4 eliminates evil influence which may be exerted upon the photosensitive body and the malfunction is prevented with the inhibition key 9. |
