PURPOSE:To maintain releasability of a fixing roll for a long term by installing near a pressing roll, a polishing means in contact with the surface of the pressing roll and polishing its surface. CONSTITUTION:The paper 5 to be fixed is pressed with a pressing roll 4 and brought into contact with the fixing roll 1 provided with a heat source 2 in its inside to heat fix a toner image 6 transferred onto the paper 5. This pressing roll 4 is made of a heat resistant elastic material filled with an active filler in an amt. of 5-400pts.wt. and a polishing means 7 for polishing the surface of the roll 4 in contact with it is installed near the roll 4. |
